People will say, don’t you hate conflict and isn’t it scary? First, I hate arguments. Because arguments are just people venting, and it creates the sucking vortex of pissed off and they just get people and organizations stuck.
However, I do love conflict. Conflict means something is important. I love to help organizations and teams find out what is important, what is at stake and help people with tools, techniques and language to be able to express themselves, and make decisions.
That’s where people start talking about what’s important to them and stop arguing. And when that happens, it’s almost kind of a sacred space.
