Why we do what we do.
The work should be challenging, not the working relationships.
We spend too much of our time and life energy at work for it to be a difficult place.
We rescue people from the sucking vortex of pissed off by improving their skills in conflict management, communication, and leadership.
We do this because it is so much more fun than practicing Employment Law. So many times potential clients would come to the law office seeking advice. Many times, however, there wasn’t a legal issue – it was a people-getting-along issue or having unmet expectations about what a “good employer” should or should not do. Filing a lawsuit can’t deliver the level of resolution and satisfaction that is gained when people are actively involved in creating the solutions to their problems.
Listening to people share what is important to them and helping them achieve it is hugely rewarding.
